The activity of girl groups will continue without stopping this year.

Last year, the the girl group activity was busier than ever. Wondergirls was in the center of it all, and the representative girl group SNSD led the fever this year.

Last year, Wonder Girls showed to be most active, creating a girl-group wave with their song “Nobody.” Wonder Girls made everybody point their fingers and do the gun dance to the song, and gathered a lot of momentum to hold their first concert. On Mnet chart, the album reached the top just two days after it went on sale, and it also placed first for 5 weeks.

Likewise, SNSD continued on this fever for girl groups this year. SNSD was noticeably popular not only in the music world, but they also appeared on shows and CF’s very frequently because of their song, “Gee”. It was deserved to be called the “Gee” wave. SNSD placed 1st for 7 weeks on the same chart that Wondergirls placed 1st for 5 weeks. They had the honor of having first place for the longest amount of time.

If Wondergirls and SNSD captured music fans by showing their youthfulness, liveliness, and cuteness, then this summer, the girl group different than all the others will come out to continue with the wave.

These girls, 2NE1, were called “the Girl Big Bang” and became popular even before they debuted. 2NE1 sang the song “Lollipop” with the Big Bang members before they formally debuted, creating publicity, and are currently active promoting their debut song, “Fire.” Unlike previous girl groups, they have hip hop roots with their powerful performances on stage are their strong points.

SNSD, Wonder Girls, and 2NE1 who is continuing with the girl group streak, are not only going to energize the pop world, but they are making us expectant for more diverse girl groups.

[News] Wonder Girls to return to Korea in June to flim CF

With SunMi’s sudden short return to Korea recently for personal matters, the WonderGirls will also be coming back to Korea with Park Jin Young beginning of June.

They will be back for CF filming, and once they are done with their CF filming, they will be heading back to America again.

JYP said on 27th, “They have a few schedules to run for in Korea next month. Even though nothing has been much decided, there are plans for them to return for a short while.”

Wondergirls’ rapper Yoobin has given her white scarf that she had enjoyed wearing in winter to the Star auction. The scarf has a flower pattern made from white furthreads and being light and feeling nice when weared is its specials. Yoobin said that “Like a scarf warms people in cold winters I’d like the money from this scarf become atleast a little strenght to children” is her reason for participation.

Sunmi (Wondergirls)
Sunmi has participated in the “star’s stuff sharing love ??? campaign” with her brown/red hat. The green fuzzy ball on top is very nice and it’s a fashion item that Sunmi enjoyed wearing in winter.

Sohee (Wondergirls)
Sohee who had transformed to popstar Beyonce at the first concert in Korea has given a red cap made from the material “Coduroi” (omg noway I understand this konglish ~.~). This Beanpole (yes the brand) item was worn by Sohee in winter when she went out.

Yeeun (Wondergirls)
Yeeun had sung the song “Killing Me Softly” at the first concert in Korea powerfully and surprised the spectaters. She has given a white Nike Tshirt. After having finished the first concert in Korea she is resting and will comeback this fall with a new composition.

[News] Wonder Girls’ First Concert, “They Are JYP’s Children.”

Wonder Girls had their first solo concert in 10 years after SES and Finkl.

Mnet ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ (Producer Shin ChunJi) which showed Wonder Girls’ no makeup face to their amazing performances on stage will end on the 10th. Kim added that since his working with JYP at JYP’s 2007 “Bad Party” till now, he knew that JYP was a perfectionist that didn’t just pass over 1 minute or even a second and worked harder to make it a better concert.

On the other hand, ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ received love from many fans and citizens saying that the girls constant hard work, sweat and tears for each little thing was a reason why they are so loved by the nation.

They also showed a different side to what is constantly known as an artistic concert through the long practices and stages that were constantly changed.

Wonder Girl’s first solo concert happened after many repetitive meetings that upgraded the stages to show Sohee’s perfect silhouette and YooBin’s powerful dance skills, and the other members’ solo stages.

‘Welcome to Wonderland’’s last episode will show the perfectly conducted Seoul Concert and the solo stages that created a big issue, and after the concert where Wonder Girls tear up at the letters given by the concert staffs. The show broadcasts on the 10th at 6pm.

Pro-gamer Hong JinHo, comedian Park MyungSoo, and singing group KARA have been selected as the celebrities with the strongest ‘Second in Line’ image.

Community portal DCInside (CEO Kim YooShik) held a survey from April 1 through April 7 asking, “Which celebrity has the strongest ‘Second in Line’ image?” Out of 1473 votes, Hong JinHo ranked first with 1080 votes (73.3%). Hong JinHo is a star in the Star Craft world; however, his defeats to Im YoHwan and Lee YoonYeol have earned him the disappointment that follows from always being ‘second in line’.

Second place, with 225 votes (15.3%), was taken by comedian Park MyungSoo. Park MyungSoo, who became ‘second in line’ through his constant coveting of MC Yoo JaeSuk’s position in ‘Infinite Challenge’ is currently getting laughs through his trademark characteristic of acting weak around the strong and acting strong around the weak.

Third place went to KARA who is shut out of competition by the Wonder Girls & Girls’ Generation as they struggle to demonstrate their shining qualities. KARA earned 76 votes (5.2%). The remaining slots were filled by golf’s Kim MiHyun, singer Yoon JongShin, singer Shin JungHwan, and marathon runner Lee BongJoo.

In the morning, there’s this place called Whole Food Market,
It’s a place where they sell organic products, so I bought some stuff to eat keke
Then I ate at the dorm..
Ah
There’s someone here who makes our food here
And she cooks using all organic products without using any preservatives keke
But it tastes good… It’s amazing keke
Then I went to the recording studio..

I stopped by the Sony store and bought a USB
But I found the one I brought as I was unpacking – -
But the problem is that the CD was only Windows-compatible (my computer’s a Mac)
So the set-up wouldn’t work… Am I supposed to return to the Sony store ㅜㅜ
I went to Jurlique and bought some foundation..
I went to see a Nicolas Cage movie called ‘Knowing’
But I couldn’t fight the time difference and slept ^^ I wasn’t even “falling asleep”—I just straight up slept
American movie theatres.. stink ㅜㅜ the popcorns only so-so and just expensive
And the screen quality seriously… stinks
I bought some spicy rice cakes from Koreatown and ate it..

Wonder Girls Remake Fin.K.L’s Music Video

The Wonder Girls have remade the music video for Fin.K.L’s hit song and will be releasing it on the coming 4th.

There have been plenty of occasions in the past when idol singers have remade existing hit songs—such as Girls’ Generation’s cover of Lee SeungChul’s and Big Bang’s cover of Lee MoonSae’s –but this is the first time that a music video is being remade.

This music video is particularly noteworthy because JYP Entertainment has directly arranged the song in such a way that it is reborn with a beat and style that is exclusive to the Wonder Girls. Not only that but the music video takes on another level of fun as viewers will enjoy the fantastic dancing and YooBin’s powerful rapping.

Just as Fin.K.L shed its “fairy” image through the music video for , the Wonder Girls appear to be following suit. In the new music video, they have been transformed into “sexy spies” wearing alluring smoky makeup and slimming leather outfits. As they are seen exquisitely avoiding laser beams and dancing waves, they emanate a more mature and polished, feminine charm that differs from their established image.

This music video came about as EVER was preparing new television commercials to promote its new XSlim Phone. The video offers relief to Wonder Girls fans who must wait while the group goes on hiatus until the release of its 5th project album. It also offers fun and enjoyable media contents to EVER consumers in the target 10-20-year-old age group.

There are special plans for one part of the music video’s storyline to be used in the television commercial for ‘XSlim Phone’ which means users will be able to enjoy multiple contents offered by both a music video and a television commercial.

EVER’s marketing director Park HyungGeun revealed, “We used the black and white contrast of Fin.K.L’s existing music video in order to capture the black and white image of EVER’s new product, the XSlim Phone.” He added, “We changed the atmosphere to a futuristic one in order to showcase the slim and polished product design. We also changed the scene where they enter the male actor’s house by including a scene where they avoid laser beams. All these changes add a different, more eye-catching appeal.”
